Volkwagen and Gett work together on autonous cars

Bron: Volkswagen Group

The Volkswagen Group invests 300 million dollar in the Israelian company Gett. With this investment, the manufacturer wants to open the way for new mobility concepts. Gett’s technology leverages big data, cutting edge predictive algorithms, and artificial intelligence. It therefore serves as the foundation for the operation of on-demand autonomous cars, among other exciting developments.

It is thinkable that Gett will provide the hardware and software for an autonomous taxi fleet, which Uber, Lyft, and Google are all building on at the moment.

Gett

Gett is one of the leading providers in the European ride hailing market with development facilities in Israel. Gett is available in more than 60 cities worldwide, including London, Moscow and New York City. In London alone, half of all the black cabs use Gett. Gett aims to further strenghthen its position in the market with the support of the Volkwagen Group.
